With limited funds for farming our irrigation system is quite simple. Nevertheless, we are grateful to have access to the water pipe, the rest speaks for itself 🙂

To water the organic tomatoes, radishes, and spinach farmer Danuta uses the watering can 🙂

The more water containers the better 🙂 With 6,000 sqft this watering system is going to take us one whole day to just water the plants. We are working on a better solution…. coming soon 🙂

Farmer Danuta 🙂 covers the watered plants with dried straw. This allows plants to hold on to water for longer; the water doesn’t evaporate that fast especially when it is a hot day like today.

Just a few more bunches of dried straw and the bed will be completely covered.
